1. DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
Simple answer; yes! A (non-refundable) deposit of £100 is required to secure your chosen session package, date and time. You will then be notified via email when your remaining balance is due (usually one month before the wedding).
3. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK A SESSION?
This will depend on which photography package you require! I will always recommend securing a date sooner rather than later, especially for newborn photography.
I also photograph weddings so my diary can fill up pretty far in advance - especially for Fridays and weekends! So it is best to get in touch and discuss dates as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
- Newborns & early years: bookings can be scheduled from as early 4 days old all the way up to 6 months and beyond!
- Maternity: I would suggest waiting until you're around 28-34 weeks pregnant.
4. WHERE DO THE SHOOTS TAKE PLACE? DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO?
Photography sessions take place either outdoors or in the comfort of your own home*.
Outdoor shoots have and will always be my favourite. I just love shooting outdoors on a beach, in a forest or even at your local park! Children are (in my opinion) always more adventurous, engaged and playful when outside of their natural environment. However, that being said, studio 2021 is pending! So watch this space!
*Sadly home sessions are currently unavailable due to COVID-19!
6. CAN YOU HELP US PLAN/RECOMMEND SOME OUTDOOR LOCATIONS?
Of course! I have some immediate go-to's for my family sessions. (One of my favourites being the sand dunes at Camber Sands in Rye!) If you would like some assistance in picking the perfect location, just ask and I will be more than happy to advise!
7. WHAT DO WE DO IF IT RAINS?
I am always tracking the weather ahead of upcoming shoots, so should the forecast be looking less than promising, I will always get in touch to discuss arrangements for your booking. Should you wish to postpone, I am always happy to move dates around depending on my calendar availability and providing a minimum of 48 hrs notice has been given.
8. WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
After some careful curation, I now have a family style guide available to download upon confirmation of your booking along with a brand new Client Wardrobe - yay! What to wear and what to bring are all covered! But if you're in need of inspiration, be sure to check out the blog!
9. CAN WE PRINT OUR PHOTOS?
Full printing rights are included in all my packages, so print away! Post them to your relatives, put them on a canvas, cover your house! I also offer Fine Art prints and Contemporary photo albums if you'd like me to do the printing for you!

Of course! I can't always be available for in person meetings, but I do offer online consultations.

3. WE'RE GETTING MARRIED ABROAD! CAN YOU COME?
Most definitely! I LOVE to travel and always have my passport in date and ready to go. It would be an honour to join you in whatever destination sets your souls a’flame; whether it be the beaches, the mountains, the snow, you name it!
4. HOW SOON DO WE NEED TO BOOK YOU?
As soon as possible! I receive bookings up to two years in advance(!), so it's best to lock in your date as soon as possible.
5. DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU AT OUR WEDDING?
I do ask that a hot meal is provided for me if I am to be covering your entire day (6+hrs). A job as important as this one can be hungry work. So a meal at the reception would be greatly appreciated & will ensure I won't miss any photo opportunities whilst off hunting for snacks!
6. HOW SOON WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
Whilst I understand the excitement and anticipation in receiving your photos, I like to spend as much time as possible cultivating your gallery to ensure it looks as good as can be! A typical guideline from shooting - delivery is 6-8 weeks for weddings and 2-3 for families and branding.
7. WE'RE A LITTLE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. WILL YOU HELP US?
Of course! My main advice is always "you do you!" There is no wrong or right! But rest assured that I will be with you every step of the way (with a little direction when needed!) and promise to capture you looking your very best!
