There’s nothing quite like a winter wedding—the romance, the festive atmosphere, and the joy of celebrating love just before Christmas.
Camilla and Matt’s beautiful winter wedding at Wasing Park in Berkshire was truly special, not just because of the stunning venue and thoughtful details, but because the bride and I actually grew up on the same street! So, reconnecting years later and being asked to capture their wedding day was an absolute honour.
If you’re searching for a wedding photographer in Kent, Berkshire, or the South East, and you love the idea of a cosy, winter celebration filled with warmth, romance, and timeless elegance, this wedding is sure to inspire you!

A Stunning Winter Wedding at Wasing Park
After months of careful planning, Camilla and Matt tied the knot in an intimate church ceremony at Wasing Park’s private chapel, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
The entire day was meticulously planned and flowed seamlessly, from morning preparations in the charming bridal suite to a candlelit wedding breakfast and an incredible evening of dancing that lasted long into the night!
Romantic Winter Wedding Styling
With the wedding taking place so close to Christmas, the couple embraced a timeless winter colour palette, choosing deep emerald green, classic red, and soft pink florals that perfectly complemented the venue’s stunning countryside setting.
Florals: The F Word Flowers created breathtaking arrangements filled with lush greenery, seasonal red and pink roses, and elegant winter foliage.
Decor: Christmas trees twinkled throughout the venue, adding an extra touch of festive magic.
Personal Touches: Instead of traditional wedding confetti, the couple opted for a romantic sparkler exit, and in place of a cake-cutting, they wowed guests with an elegant champagne tower!
A Cosy and Heartwarming Celebration
As expected for a December wedding in the South East, the temperatures were chilly, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! Camilla and Matt made sure their guests stayed warm with:
- Delicious winter cocktails
- Hearty, comforting canapés
- A cozy indoor reception space filled with candlelight and festive charm
Golden Hour Wedding Portraits
With an early winter sunset, we made the most of the soft, golden light for their romantic couple portraits before heading indoors to warm up. While we didn’t stay outside for too long (no one wanted to turn into an ice sculpture—especially the bride!), the images we captured were full of love, warmth, and winter magic.
