There’s nothing like a long-awaited love story right before Christmas!
This wedding, in particular, was very dear to my heart as the Bride and I grew up on the same street!
So I was very moved when, years and years later, after reconnecting in our mid-late twenties, Camilla asked if I would capture her special day.
After months of careful planning, Camilla and Matt tied the knot in a quaint and traditional ceremony at Wasing Park in Berkshire.
The entire day was beautifully planned and flowed seamlessly, right the way through from the morning preparations until very late into the night when almost all of the guests were still up on their feet dancing away.
Camilla and Matt opted for a, somewhat, traditional day, with a beautiful church ceremony at the venue’s on-sight chapel, before moving into warmer territory for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast.
A few personal changes the couple chose to make included sparklers instead of confetti and a champagne tower instead of a cake cutting!
Of course, with it being so close to Christmas, the weather was a little on the cold side! But that didn’t stop anyone from enjoying the magical day.
Camilla and Matt had chosen a perfect blend of warm winter cocktails with hearty canapes which, as you’d expect, were enjoyed by many!
The colour palette was a beautiful, rich green which complimented the venue, scenery and setting of the day to a tee!
Matched with gorgeous red and pink roses from The F Word Flowers (linked below), lots of green foliage adorned the tables during dinner and there was a constant twinkle from a number of Christmas Trees dotted about. The day was simply beautiful.
Due to the low temperatures and early sunset, we didn’t spend too much time outside capturing formal photos, for fear of us all – the Bride especially – turning into ice statues! But what we did capture was full of light, warmth and love.
Overall, this day was a complete joy to witness and capture, and it was a sincere pleasure to play such a special part in it. Congratulations, again, Camilla & Matt!
For any prospective couples viewing the below highlight gallery – this is a very heavily B&W featured preview, as they are just some of my favourite images from this day!
For clarity; I aim to deliver a good mixture of colour and black-and-white images in every client gallery I produce.
