Philippa and James’ wedding at Ripple Court Estate in Deal, Kent, was full of warmth, personality, and a real sense of ease. The kind of day that feels carefully considered without ever feeling overworked.
Ripple Court Estate has quickly become a venue I’ve grown to love and really enjoy working at. I’m also proud to be one of their recommended photographers, which speaks volumes about the trust and collaboration between the venue and its suppliers.
Ripple Court Estate is one of Kent’s newer wedding venues, but it already feels established in all the right ways. The interiors are elegant without being formal, the grounds are open and generous, and the layout allows the day to flow naturally from one space to the next.

The team at Ripple Court Estate are a huge part of what makes the venue so special. They are accommodating, organised, and genuinely helpful, always one step ahead without ever feeling intrusive. It creates a calm atmosphere for everyone involved and allows the couple to fully enjoy their day without having to think about the logistics.
The day began in the heart of Deal, where Philippa kept bridal prep intentionally relaxed at her family home. The atmosphere was full of excitement, laughter, and just the right amount of nerves. Before heading to the venue, we took a stroll through the town and down to the seafront for some fun bridesmaid portraits on the beach, which happened to be one of my favourite moments of the morning.
Meanwhile, guests were transported by minibus to Ripple Court Estate, arriving ready for what was shaping up to be a brilliant celebration.

Philippa arrived with her dad in the most perfect baby blue VW bus, greeted with cheers and applause from guests.
Their beautiful outdoor ceremony was led by the wonderful celebrant, Arabella Wilde, accompanied by live harp music (courtesy of the fabulous Tara Minton) and even a surprise vocal performance from one of their friends! It was a beautifully relaxed ceremony, full of personal touches and lots of feeling.
After the ceremony, Philippa and James made their way back up the aisle to the sound of their live band (The Native Oysters), before heading outside the main house for their confetti walk. Armed with giant placards of their much-loved cat, Janet! it quickly became one of the most joyful moments of the day.
A true explosion of colour, laughter, and celebration, and a perfect reflection of the happiness that surrounded them.

Philippa & James wanted their wedding to be fun and interactive, and it absolutely delivered!
Guests were treated to live music both before, during and after their Ceremony. But after dinner, that’s when the real party began!
Before we made our way from the marquee back down to the main house for the first dance, a ceilidh band got everyone on their feet for nearly two hours of dancing and weaving. One of their friends even led the dances, making it all the more special.
As the sun went down, the celebrations continued inside, the band started up again with a few talented guests jumping in to sing a song or two, and they were genuinely brilliant!
Later on, guests drifted outside into the courtyard to catch their breath and chat under the stars, before heading back up to the marquee once more to refuel with a late-night BBQ before heading back to the dance floor.
As a Kent wedding photographer, I can honestly say Ripple Court Estate is one of the most exciting new venues I’ve ever worked at. It offers everything. Character, beautiful grounds, versatility, and a team that genuinely cares about how your day runs.
So, whether you’re dreaming of a relaxed outdoor celebration, a stylish marquee, or a grand dinner indoors, Ripple Court Estate has it all.
