1. Definitions
“The Photographer” refers to Lori Young trading as Lori Young Photography.
“The Client(s)” refers to the individual(s) named on the booking and contract.
2. Booking & Payment
A booking is confirmed once the booking form is completed, the contract is signed, and the non-refundable retainer is paid.
The retainer forms part of the total session fee and secures your chosen date and time.
Final balances must be paid no later than 48 hours before the session date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Session Details & Cooperation
Family, maternity, and newborn sessions are relaxed and child-led by nature. The Client(s) agree to cooperate with the Photographer to allow the session to flow naturally and safely.
If the session start time is delayed due to late arrival, the Photographer cannot guarantee the full session duration.
Any changes to location or session details must be requested in writing no later than 7 days before the session date.
4. Artistic Style & Editing
By booking, the Client(s) acknowledge they are familiar with the Photographer’s style and trust their creative judgement.
The Photographer retains full artistic control over image selection, editing style, and final delivery.
Only edited images are delivered. RAW files are not available under any circumstances.
5. Image Delivery & Storage
Images are delivered via an online gallery hosted on Pixieset.
Gallery delivery times are:
- Family / Maternity / Newborn: up to 4 weeks
- Online galleries remain available for 12 months from the delivery date.
After this time, images may be permanently deleted.
6. Client Responsibilities
The Client(s) are solely responsible for downloading and backing up their images.
The Photographer strongly recommends creating multiple backups.
Once images are delivered, the Photographer cannot be held responsible for loss or damage due to client-side storage failure.
7. Postponements & Cancellations
Clients may request to reschedule their session once, provided at least 7 days’ notice is given.
The new session date must fall within 2 months of the original booking and is subject to availability.
Further postponements may require a new booking and retainer.
Retainers are non-refundable outside of the 14-day cooling-off period.
8. Portfolio & Image Use
The Photographer may wish to use selected images for portfolio, website, social media, and promotional purposes.
The Photographer fully respects that some families may prefer their images to remain private.
If the Client(s) wish to restrict or decline the use of their images, this can be requested at any time in writing and will always be honoured.
Password-protected galleries are not publicly accessible and are not considered public display.
9. Liability & Force Majeure
In the unlikely event that the Photographer is unable to deliver services due to illness, injury, or circumstances beyond their control, liability is limited to a refund of fees paid.
While all reasonable steps are taken to safeguard images, liability for total image loss is limited to a refund of fees paid.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
Client data is stored securely and used only for booking management, communication, and gallery delivery.
Personal data is never sold or shared with third parties.
Clients may request data removal in writing at any time.
