My photography style is extremely relaxed and carefree; not only to ensure I get the very best pictures but to allow you and your family the freedom to have fun and enjoy yourselves!
So whether you opt for a session at home or you brave “going on a bear hunt”! I promise you and your little ones will not only receive a selection of beautiful photos to look back on for years to come, but you’ll also walk away with the ever-lasting memory of a morning/afternoon of true family fun.
As an ex-nanny/au pair, and now, a first time mama(!),I have come to understand just how fleeting and yet how impossibly wonderful a Child's early years are. Most of all for us, the parents! The first time they sit up unaided, their first tooth, first steps, first birthdays... there are so many firsts.
"Let them be little", is a sentiment that I believe can apply to us all. Children, parents, even grandparents! So rather than forcing children to stand still, pose and smile for a stranger with a camera, my sessions run in quite the opposite manner!
"We are so happy with the photos Lori took of our little family, they turned out so beautifully and are better than we could have hoped for! Lori was lovely to work with, and extremely patient with our one year old twins. She was very responsive by email, prompt on the day and provided us with our edited photos within a week and a half. Overall, we would use her again and would highly recommend her to others!"
"Lori is a wonderfully talented photographer! We have thoroughly enjoyed every family session we’ve had with her and her pictures are displayed all around our home. She has such a magical way with children to capture their personality beautifully and skilfully makes the session feel fun and relaxed for the family! I highly recommend Lori and look forward to working with her again to capturing more special family moments."
"Lori took some fabulous Christmas photos of me and the family in December.
I couldn't have been happier with the images we received. They all captured the moment, but were flattering at the same time which is a tricky combination. I'll be looking at them forever. Lori is wonderfully upbeat and knows how to encourage kids to join in which was so appreciated too."
"We have had a few photo shoots with Lori, she is a perfectionist and it shows in every photo she takes. She captures the purest moments and knows exactly what is going to make a the perfect image. I can't fault her or recommend her enough. She's professional, responsive and fantastic at what she does!"
"I met Lori in 2020 for a Doorstep Mini Session. Lori was sweet, made us feel comfortable and she was very patient with our toddler! She kept making him laugh and makes us all feel relaxed! Since then we've had a Mother’s Day Mini and a full family session! Lori has seen my youngest from bump to running toddler! The previous toddler, now a school boy, keeps asking when we'll see Lori again as she is so much fun! We now have a collection of ever lasting beautiful memories and by now we almost feel that Lori is part of the family!"
It's easy to get swept up in the chaos of everyday life - we all do it! But as our little ones grow, we want to provide them with a wealth of memories to look back on in the years to come. And those memories don't need to be 'break-the-bank' trips to Disneyland. They can be trips to the seaside, a walk in the woods or a trip to the park! So long as you're present - that's when the magic truly happens.
They say we only have babies for the first four years of their lives. So many changes in those early years as we watch them grow into their features and see their little personality blossom. Every milestone is a milestone worth celebrating. So don't wait for month 12 to book a professional photoshoot - start preserving those memories and documenting those ever-changing milestones now!
For 40 weeks (give or take) your body has carefully and lovingly grown a human. Or two, or three! For that very reason alone, you and your body deserve to be celebrated.
Every stretch mark, every dimple, every belly button...our bodies are all unique and hold incredible strength and power - whether we realise it or not!
You are your baby's first home - so let's immortalise that while we can.
Photography sessions take place either outdoors or in the comfort of your own home. My style of photography is best suited to the outdoors. Children are a lot more responsive, adventurous, engaged, and playful when outside of their homes and day-to-day environments. That being said, however, I am, currently, in the process of opening my own studio! Keep an eye on my Instagram for updates!
Of course! I have a handful of go-to locations across Kent, London & the South East that I use regularly.
If you're not sure which location would best suit your family, we can decide this together at the time of your booking.
I also have a few handy tips for choosing the right location for you and your family included in both my Investment & Welcome Guides!
Simple answer; yes! A non-refundable deposit of £200 is required to confirm your booking with me and further secures your chosen shoot location, date and time. You will then be notified via email when your remaining balance is due. Should you need it; payment plans are also available.
Every family is unique and therefore every shoot is different. Your gallery can range from 40 - 60 photos - sometimes more, sometimes less! It all depends on the nature of your session.
Rest assured; I cherish every family booking and take the utmost pride and care in curating each and every gallery. So I can say with confidence that you will receive a beautiful and meaningful gallery to forever remember the magic we made together. However big or small your gallery may be!
"As a mother; I spend a lot of my time hiding behind my iPhone, capturing every possible moment I can.
I can’t help it. I want these moments to look back on and to show my children when they’re older. I want to have a picture of these moments in case I ever forget the memory.
I love capturing beautiful, candid photographs of my children and their dad (that he’ll proudly display on his screensaver). But it’s always me - mum - with the phone or the camera, and rarely my husband. Something which I know other mothers will relate to. So by constantly playing at being a photographer, I miss being in the moment myself.
So I don’t think of sessions with Lori as a photo shoot. They are experiences and moments in time where I get to be with my family, and in the photos, whilst enjoying ourselves, together, in beautiful places.
Lori is there to catch all of the moments that I would have missed being a part of. Instead of hiding behind my iPhone, I get to be present with my children in the memory instead of watching it from the sidelines.
The moments and memories that Lori captures are so subtle and so special that you hardly realise the importance of them until you see them later, displayed in a frame in your home.
Instead of photos of me and my children that feature my husbands' horrific wonky camera skills,
the moments captured by Lori are natural and candid, and you can see everyone’s at ease - including me!
These photos in particular I will treasure for an eternity.
Every day my children change and grow and, although it breaks my heart, I love nothing more than looking back at these moments with them."
