Did you know Kent had a zoo? Because I didn’t! Queue Katie and Matt booking me to capture them say “I Do” at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve – a wedding venue nestled within the Kentish Savannah.
The majority of the world’s population now carries a camera around in their pocket every single day. And yet whilst today’s technology allows us all to be photographers in some way, we have come to take this accessibility for granted and what’s often missing is the memory and experience behind the 100+ mobile phone snaps.
The lovely Emily and Matt planned a wonderful, Indonesian-inspired, back-garden wedding for themselves and their favourite people, surrounded by lots of colours, delicious food and drink, and a wonderfully fun Mariachi band!
Camilla and Matt opted for a, somewhat, traditional day, with a beautiful church ceremony at the venue’s on-sight chapel, before moving into warmer territory for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast.
Whether you’re planning for a photographer to join you for your entire wedding day or just a part of it,
there’s a lot that can be missed with just one photographer in tow. Especially if your guest list exceeds 100 people!
So to avoid this, the best thing you can do is book a second shooter!
Here on Botany Bay, whilst it may have been a tad on the chilly side at the time of this session, we were so lucky to have a practically abandoned beach surrounded only by a few nosey seagulls and the beautiful sounds of waves crashing on the shore.
