Earlier this year, I had the privilege of capturing local family Doorstep Portraits—where families stood at the doorsteps of their homes, and I snapped photos from the pavement! The response was overwhelming, and after miles of walking on my part, we raised an incredible £328.00 for the St Albans and District Foodbank!
So I wanted to say a huge thank you to all 54 families who took part in booking a Doorstep Portrait session with me.
Not only did you help keep a local business (me!) afloat during what would’ve been my busiest time of the year, but you also made a generous contribution to a charity that directly supports local families in need.

After making the donation on behalf of myself and those who participated, I was kindly sent the following email…
Good afternoon Lori,
We wanted to thank you for remembering us and for your kind donation together with the contributions from the 54 families. It is very much appreciated.
The demand for our help has grown substantially this year and it is difficult to predict what will be needed over the summer.
Thanks to donations such as yours we have been able to distribute complete food parcels in this difficult period and to very significantly increase the number of food parcels we have provided, including opening a new distribution centre, extending our links with local schools and forging a new link with the Sopwell Community Trust.
Many thanks again for your support.
Regards
Mark Pontin
Trustee
