Love can’t be cancelled
Hina and Nikhil should have been celebrating their wedding nuptials in sunny Barcelona! But, like many couples due to be married this year, COVID-19 had other plans in store.
We’ve all had to find ways of adapting to this year, in one way or another. And this being my first wedding since Lockdown struck, was unlike any wedding I have shot before! But my goodness was it beautiful all the same.
So whilst the main event has been put on hold with all hope and intention that they will celebrate (as should have been intended) just a little later than originally planned, this lovely couple chose to embrace the chaos and tie the knot with a smaller celebration much closer to home.
There were no Bridesmaids, no fancy decorations, no car, just two people wholeheartedly in love!
I wouldn’t be present during the ceremony at Wandsworth Registry (due to limited numbers and the couple’s choosing), and we knew there would be very little time allowed to us for photographs upon their exit from the building.
So we flipped the traditional wedding day photography schedule on its head and made our own rules!
I arrived in Notting Hill one hour prior to the ceremony, where Hina and Nikhil were blissfully getting ready together and helping each other with the finishing touches.
We then took a walk through their private, communal garden to capture the most stunning couples portraits before masking up for the taxi ride across London to Wandsworth Registry Office.

I may have only been given two hours to capture Hina and Nikhils wedding, but I think the photos speak volumes for just how much fun we had!
