There is just something so ethereal and magical about capturing a person’s journey to parenthood. Especially when documented outside and surrounded by nature.
Whilst it may look like summer in the photos below, I can assure you that the wind (and the water!) was a lot chillier than we anticipated and Jax was such a trooper embracing the cold water at 33 weeks pregnant.
On this particular day at Botany Bay, whilst it may have been a tad on the chilly side at the time of this session, we were so lucky to have a practically abandoned beach entirely to ourselves, surrounded only by a few nosey seagulls and the beautiful sounds of waves crashing on the shore.
At present, all of my family and maternity shoots take place either in the great outdoors (whether that be a field, woodland, or, as pictured below, the beach!) or in the comfort of your own home.
You can book a maternity shoot at any stage during your pregnancy, however, I typically recommend a date somewhere between 28 – 34 weeks works best.
